Clague will probably be the 7th defenseman to start the year. He's not waiver exempt and is unlikely to clear. Maatta, Strand, and Wolanin are the other options and will all likely clear waivers. Moverare is a dark horse option. |

Yeah, I agree with tke. I think not losing Clague in the draft was huge and they aren’t going to waste that just to have home picked up on waivers. Unfortunately for Maata, that means an AHL assignment to start the season. Unless he’s put in the work and proves himself in camp. I also like Strand but he is AHL bound for sure. With depth continuing to grow in LA it’s going to be harder and harder to crack this lineup…. I like that. |
